Treehouse
Treehouse is a poetic reflection about loss and renewal: loss of my mother, loss of life as my mother examines a slaughtered chicken, loss of the childhood home, and loss of the trees that provided shade but are now cut down. (Dollhouse, video projection, animation.) Treehouse was exhibited at High Temp Fabrication in Buffalo in 2014 and at Studio Waveland + Gallery, Waveland, Mississippi in 2020.
My mother, Helga Braemer, in Italy in 2000, preparing a rooster for dinner.
