Conceived and organized by myself and Berlin-based chef Adam Wittke, Home Koching was a collaborative three-part cooking and discussion event which took place in the summer and fall of 2021, during the pandemic. Adam Wittke taught three online classes where participants from Germany, Switzerland and the United States learned climate-friendly recipes that everyone cooked together over zoom, ending in a festive meal consumed over two continents. Participants also watched a short film about proactive climate activists and discussed ways to address climate change through cooking and other means. Home Koching was funded in part by Wunderbar Together, an initiative by the German Foreign Office and implemented by the Goethe Institute.
